Japanese Marubeni Corporation donates USD 20,000 for earthquake relief operations

Marubeni Corporation, a Japanese trading company which owns indirect interests in the PNG LNG and other oil and gas fields in the highlands, has donated USD 20,000 to Oil Search Foundation to assist in the provision of aid and relief for earthquake impacted communities.

The company has expressed its deepest

sympathy to the victims in the disaster areas and hopes for speedy progress in recovery and reconstruction operations.

Oil Search Foundation thanked Marubeni for its donation and will ensure all funds received are used to support direct aid and recovery operations.

Stephanie Copus Campbell, Executive Director for Oil Search Foundation said, “together with partners we have been able to reach over 100,000 people in impacted areas with food, water and shelter in isolated areas of highlands of PNG”.
